Enrique was born and raised in Santa Ana, California. A first-generation Mexican-American, Enrique has strived to make the most of his life after the loss of his brother to leukemia, Miguel, in 2016. Through his early education, Enrique was fascinated with the world. In 2008, he attended St. Paul’s School in Concord, New Hampshire, and spent his junior year abroad studying Mandarin Chinese. in Beijing, China. In 2012, he was admitted to Georgetown, where he majored in Mandarin and minored in Linguistics. During his time at Georgetown, he returned to Beijing and Taipei for a semester of study, respectively.

Enrique enjoyed immersing himself in the communities and appreciating all the unique ways each group and society solves different problems.
